Problem.

During the summer months, the performance of dairy goats was significantly reduced due to heat stress, directly affecting cheese production. In addition, high levels of harmful gases (such as ammonia) and an increased presence of insects were detected, factors that compromised animal welfare and the quality of the production environment.

The building had a closed structure of 30 meters long by 14.5 meters wide, with a central aisle separating the corrals on both sides. Natural ventilation was insufficient to maintain optimal environmental conditions.

Solution.

After a technical analysis of the space and the existing structure, it was decided to install 3 industrial fans STRATOR FAN TX.380, mounted on the central beam of the nave.

The distribution was defined by taking advantage of the position of the structural joists, located every 5 meters, which allowed for an aligned and efficient placement. The STRATOR FAN TX.380 were selected for their high air flow, low energy consumption and ability to work continuously in demanding environments.

This solution allowed:

  • To guarantee a constant cross ventilation in the entire stabling area.
  • Reduce internal temperature during the hottest hours of the day.
  • Decrease the concentration of noxious gases and the presence of insects.
  • Improving animal comfort, The production yield recovery is favored by the recovery of the productive yield.

Final result.
